Heart Work
One of my favorite books in the Bible is Ruth. I have often thought it should have been named Naomi as her story is one that has been an example to me. Her life went from being peaceful and content to being turned upside down.
Yes, she lost everything she had clung to but she had to rely on God and seek him even in her disappointments. I find myself drawing closer to God, to trusting Him to use my life for His greater purposes. I no longer plan ahead I am learning to live in the moments God has for me. Jeremiah 29:11-13 tells us: “ I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and Find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”
God knew the plans He had for Naomi even when she felt God had caused her to become bitter. His plans were good , they gave her daughter-in-law a new husband and a child for Naomi to love.
Whatever situation you find yourself in:
Believe God’s promises
Call upon Him
Pray
Seek Him with all your Heart
